1.2 AGREEMENT

By subscribing to the Baker McKenzie Link Website (www.bakermckenzie.link), you hereby acknowledge, accept and agree to our terms and conditions of use.

1.3 DISCLAIMERS

This Website facilitates the provision of legal training and general information prepared by or under the direction of, unless otherwise indicated, the international law firm Baker McKenzie, as defined above. No attorney-client relationship will be formed or deemed to be formed with Baker McKenzie (or any of its Member Firms) or other law firms through your use of this Website. Use of the Website does not create any contractual relationship whatsoever between you and Baker McKenzie (or any of its Member Firms) or other law firms. Baker McKenzie accepts no responsibility for the content of the Website and/or any loss incurred as a result of you using the Website and/or the information contained on this Website. All information is prepared and / or supervised by qualified attorneys in the relevant jurisdictions.

Baker McKenzie Link, as defined above, is a publisher and provider of legal information, training and related services. Because Baker McKenzie Link is not a law firm and is not itself a provider of legal services, professional conduct rules for lawyers, including rules that prohibit conflicts of interest with a law firm’s or a lawyer’s clients, do not apply to the Baker McKenzie Link relationship with users of this Website. No confidentiality duties will attach to communications entered into between Baker McKenzie Link and users of this Website unless otherwise agreed in writing. Your use of the Website does not entitle you to conflict of interest protection from Baker McKenzie (or any of its Member Firms) or other law firms, as such use does not create an attorney-client relationship with any law firm. All information provided on this Website is for general information purposes only and should not be relied upon without receiving legal advice. It does not purport to be comprehensive or provide legal or other advice. Professional legal advice should be sought from Baker McKenzie or other professional advisors directly where required. You are responsible for obtaining your own legal advice and should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of any content on this Website.

Baker McKenzie Link accepts no responsibility for any loss which may arise from reliance on information contained on this Website; or for any interruption, suspension termination or delay in the transmission of content or information from the Website for whatever reason; or for any computer viruses or other destructive programs encountered as a result of using this Website. The information, software, products, and services published on this Website may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically made to the information on this Website.

Baker McKenzie Link is not responsible for the content of external internet sites that link to this Website or which are linked from it and does not represent or undertake that it will keep such links current.

Baker McKenzie Link and the contributing authors from Baker McKenzie expressly disclaim all liability to any person in respect of anything and in respect of the consequences of anything done or omitted to be done wholly or partly in reliance upon the whole or any part of the contents of this Website. Baker McKenzie Link makes no representations about the suitability of the information and services contained on this Website for any purpose.

No client or other reader should act or refrain from acting on the basis of any matter contained in the Baker McKenzie Link Websites without seeking the appropriate legal or other professional advice on the particular facts and circumstances at issue.

Baker McKenzie Link is not liable for any loss or damage arising from any allegation, suit, claim, or other proceeding based on the allegation that the use of this Website and/or the content thereof infringes copyright, patent, trademark or any other intellectual property rights or contractual rights of any third party.

Each user is the sole user of their personal identification code and password, and is responsible for the security and use of their user identification and password. Users will generally be asked to change their password every ninety days. Each user agrees to keep such information private and not assign, transfer, resell or share such information with any third party. Failure to comply may result in denial of access to the Baker McKenzie Link Website.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Baker McKenzie Link harmless from and against any and all suits, losses, claims, demands, liabilities, costs and expenses that it may sustain or incur, arising from your use of this Website. References to Baker McKenzie Link, in this context, shall include its employees, agents, affiliates, successors, officers and assigns.
